With the incredible power that LiveOnTheNet's conferencing platform gives users to create dynamic voice chats, on a limitless number of topics, it is essential that the platform also provide the means to search and organize this ocean of interactive content.

The platform organizes conference calls - active and inactive - into communities of interest called "galaxies" because they are essentially clusters of LiveStars.

We have defined an initial set of galaxies to ease navigation for early users, but this list will be expanded and refined as the universe of activities grows (for example, "Business" may be refined to include sub-galaxies like "E-business" and "Bricks and Mortar"). Ideally, users will be able to define galaxies independently in the future, but in the short term the default list of galaxies should serve the vast majority of potential conversations.

The initial set of galaxies includes Sports, World of Warcraft, Social, Personal, Business, Politics and Miscellaneous.

In new releases, users will be able to select up to 20 galaxies to appear in their softphone's toolbar, meaning that buttons defining the galaxies in which the user wishes to search are visible on the softphone.

When the user selects a galaxy by pressing its button, the softphone is auto-customized presenting the user with a search page tailored for the galaxy chosen (for example, the search page and respective database for Sports is quite different than that for World of Warcraft). The labels on tabs throughout the softphone may change as well, all contrived to make the softphone as functional as possible within the topics area or galaxy selected by the user.
